Kateryna Nazarova to Serve Fellow Ukrainians

BCNH has hired its first Ukrainian-speaking case manager, Kateryna Nazarova. Kate is one of approximately 500 Ukrainians who sought safety in New Hampshire in 2022.  She has lived in Exeter since August and immediately began using her strong English skills and business experience to help other Ukrainians get established here.  She joined the BCNH staff on January 3, 2023.

Kate will focus on Ukrainian families with school-aged children, helping parents connect with their local schools’ administrators and teachers, and helping school personnel reach out to Ukrainian speakers.   With approximately 500 Ukrainians living across New Hampshire, many smaller school districts unaccustomed to working with New Americans will find Kate’s help invaluable.

Donations to BCNH from dozens of individuals and businesses made it possible to hire Kate and will support her work all over New Hampshire. Her work with schools and students will be supported by the same grant from the NH Department of Education that enables our other case managers to work with students from Afghanistan, Congo, Burundi, and Rwanda.
