Bishnu Khadka

Bishnu Khadka is a community health worker in the Manchester Department of Health, where she has worked since February 2021. Prior to that service, she was a community health worker at Building Community in New Hampshire, serving various roles starting in 2015. Bishnu conducted a nutrition research project focused on the Bhutanese community in coordination with the University of New Hampshire’s Sherman Bigornia. She is currently enrolled in a UNH program to learn how to provide specialized care coordination to children, youth, and their caregivers whose parents are impacted by opioid use disorders and other substance use disorders. Bishnu came to the United States as a refugee from Bhutan. She lives in Manchester. Bishnu was elected to the BCNH Board in September 2023.
